One day left till Holy Week starts!

Well we carried on busily getting everything ready today. The atmosphere was full of excited anticipation and pre-deadline adrenaline. The Labyrinth was finished by the afternoon and Art teachers and students from Malmesbury Secondary School came in to continue setting up their art exhibition. Some new A level pieces arrived today, including the first station of the cross 'Gethsemane'.

Being creative can get messy,
especially if you get creative with concrete!

Neill kindly offered his feet towards the installation of one of the 3D art pieces.

The 24/7 prayer room is nearly finished. From the opening of Holy Week at 8pm this Friday 14th, we will begin an uninterrupted chain of individual hours of prayer that will last 212 hours. There are still gaps if you want to sign up for an hour of prayer in this creative and interactive prayer space. You can sign up on the sheets which will remain in the Abbey from Friday night.

Holy Week exhibition and labyrinth nearly ready!

Preparations are well underway and here is a sneak preview of some of what happened today. The Angel Stage is now finished and looks amazing! Remember to join us for late night music 11pm on the Angel Stage from Friday. The bare bones of the labyrinth were also laid down.

The art teachers from Malmesbury School have already brought in and set up lots of the student's artwork down the south aisle of the Abbey. The A level Art students have done a stunning job of depicting the stations of the cross.

And Pipeline came in this evening to help put together the big 'praise wall' for the 24/7 prayer room.

The Cafe is also nearly ready - so nice to be able to sink into a leather sofa and soak up the brilliant atmosphere!

Remember to join us for the 8pm opening of our 10 day Holy Week Festival in the Abbey this Friday 14th March 2008.
